Glancing at Hannah, Dotson noticed how much more cheerful she seemed here compared to elsewhere.
“Okay, time for intros,” Hannah declared.
She introduced Dotson, “This is my buddy from abroad, Dotson.”

Dotson was still enjoying the warmth of being referred to as a friend by Hannah, patiently awaiting the end of the introductions.
Feeling the room’s warmth, he even flashed a goofy grin, a side of him rarely seen.
